Students worked to finish up their Toothpick Truss Bridge procedural writing. 


Science: Testing Materials & Design
  • Mr. Lin (Liam's Dad) who is a Structural Engineer came and talked to us about his job designing bridges. We will use what he shared with us to help with our playground projects. This week we planned out our projects and next week we will begin construction. 

Social Studies: India
Guiding Questions: What is life like in other countries? 
                            How are people in other countries like me?

Students worked to identify these key features of the physical geography of India: Thar Desert, Deccan Plateau, Himalayan Mountains, Northern Plains, Eastern and Western Gnat Mountains, and the Ganges River.

We also learned about the Indian festival called Diwali (the Festival of Lights) which took place this week.
