Homework

1. Daily Reading for 15 to 20 minutes
2. Word Study for the Week of March 18th
        High Frequency Words: Review previous words
        Spelling Pattern: Review endings
3. Oral Sharing: We are now taking a break from Oral Sharing till April 8th.  Students should have brought home a sheet this week indicating a date that they will be reading a story to the class (1 student per day).  Book selections need to be decided by March 19th so teachers can record which books were chosen.

Weekly Learning Update

Math: 

This week we were learning about 3D shapes.  Ask your child to describe a 3D shape for you.

Writing:

Students have been writing poems and will be sharing them during conferences.

Reading: 

We have continued working on Subject specific reading (science topics), as well as poems.

Science: 

We are really on a roll with our Rocks and Minerals centres.

Social Studies:
We are continuing our work on the Peru projects which we can't wait to share with you at Student Led Parent Teacher Conferences coming up!
