Reminders
- Green Homework
Folders need
to be emptied and returned daily
- Weekly Home Journals need to be returned by Tuesday each week.
- Please check over the Demographic form sent home today and return to school as soon as possible.
- If possible, we would like each child to bring in a pair of headphones or ear buds (labelled and in a ziplock bag) for personal use with school electronic devices.
- Scholastic Book orders are due on Tuesday, September 18th
Weekly Learning Update
We had a busy second week of school. The kids were excited to meet their Grade 1 buddy today. They wrote questions so they could interview their buddy to get to know them. In Math, we have working with a hundreds chart to practice 1 more, 1 less, 10 more and 10 less. Students had fun solving number riddles. In Social Studies, we a explored the globe and world maps. We talked about non-fiction text features when we looked through the Atlas. In Science, we introduced the vocabulary (structure, design, function, model, materials, procedure, architects, engineers) that will support students during our Building Unit. We continued to review letter sounds and practice our cursive writing.
